Cajun Deviled Eggs
In honor of this week's movie, Project Power, we thought it fitting to offer a snack that paid tribute to New Orleans. These eggs have a little bit kick and are sure to leave you feeling like a super hero. This recipe comes from allrecipes.com.
What You'll Need
2 Tablespoons Mayo
1 Teaspoon Dijon Mustard
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 Cayenne Pepper
Place Eggs in a medium sauce pan and fill the pan with water until the eggs are completely covered. Bring to a boil, then remove pan from heat and cover. Let eggs sit, covered for about 11 mins.
Fill bowl with water and ice. Transfer eggs from sauce pan to ice water bowl and let them cool. Then peel the eggs. Be careful as you peel as I lost one egg along the way.
Cut cooled and peeled eggs in half remove the yokes to a separate bowl. Place egg whites on a plate and set aside. With a fork, mash yokes to combine with mayo, salt and pepper.
Carefully place yoke mixture in the center of the eggs.
Dust with the cayenne pepper. Then place in a fridge to cool until you are ready to eat. Enjoy!
