Churro Popcorn

I remember when I was little kid, there was something about getting Churro's with school lunch. I always had my lunch packed for me, so these sugary fried treats were something I longed for and caused me to be envious of those lucky enough to eat school lunch. What You'll Need

2/3 cup popcorn kernels

1/2 cup butter

2/3 cup granulated sugar

3 tablespoons ground cinnamon

2 tablespoons light corn syrup

1/4 tablespoon vanilla extract

1/2 Powdered Sugar

1/4 Granulated Sugar

1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

Step 1

Combine the powdered 1/2 powdered sugar, 1/4 cup granulated sugar, and 1 1/2 teaspoon grand cinnamon in a separate bowl and set aside. Pop the popcorn kernels. Once kernels are popped, place popcorn in a large bowl.

Step 2

In a small saucepan, combine the butter, light corn syrup, cinnamon, granulated sugar, and vanilla. Stir until the mixture is no longer grainy. Carefully(mixture is hot) pour the mixture over the popped popcorn. Make sure you stir well to coat.

Step 3

Once the mixture has coated the popcorn, add the powdered sugar, granulated sugar, and cinnamon that you had set aside earlier, to the covered popcorn. Make sure to stir to coat evenly.
