Spooky Oreo Truffles

Spooky season is upon us and that means lots of pumpkins, ghouls, and sweets. This week for Snack Time we were inspired by this recipe to make spooky Oreo truffles. They are small, delicious, and perfect for any occasion. Enjoy them while you listen to the latest episode of Films in Black and White, or your weekend movie.

What You'll Need

1 Package of Oreo Cookies

8 oz of cream cheese(softened)

12 oz of melting chocolate

Step 1

Place the entire cookie package in a food processor and pulse until they are in small crumbs.

Step 2

Place the cookie crumbs into a large mixing bowl, save about a tablespoon for garnish. Add in the cream cheese and mix until well combined.

Step 3

Using a spoon, roll mixture into small balls. You should get about 33-35 balls. Place balls on a cookie sheet and freeze for at least 1 hour.

Step 4

In a microwaveable safe bowl, melt the chocolate in microwave in 30 second increments until the chocolate is melted. Do not get this wet or the chocolate will seize up.

Step 5

Roll the chilled balls in the melted chocolate and set on a cooling rack with a sheet pan underneath. Let balls cool for at least 1 hour.
